A Filmmaking Adventure in the Republic of Georgia

Immerse yourself in far flung filmmaking with dozens of international collaborators. Participate for three to five weeks from late April through May 2024.
Caucasus Cinema is an all-in filmmaking adventure in five remote locations in the Republic of Georgia.
The program is free and provides participants with the community and focus they’ll need to create a wide variety of films every week. We bring together dozens of aspiring and professional directors, cinematographers, actors, musicians, writers, editors, journalists and producers in the Republic of Georgia to collaborate on every aspect of film production.
Together, you’ll create original short films each week in ever-changing teams. We’ll screen your film for the locals at our weekly competitions and then everyone boards the bus for the next town or village. Learn more about our vision.
Previous Adventures
The first Caucasus Cinema took place in Spring of 2022. Thirty filmmakers from twelve countries made 63 films in Tbilisi, Lagodekhi, Gori, Mestia and Anaklia.
The second Caucasus Cinema took place six months later. Again, thirty filmmakers from sixteen countries made 53 films in Tetritskaro, Akhalkalaki, Kutaisi, Mestia, and Lanchkhuti.
The fourth Caucasus Cinema brought 32 filmmakers from fifteen countries to make 63 films in Korbouli, Tsalenjikha, Aspinza, Sighnaghi and Rustavi.
Selected Films
The third Caucasus Cinema took place in Gori, Tsalenjikha, Kutaisi, Mestia, and Poti. Filmmakers from twelve countries created 64 films together.

Where You’ll Film
Caucasus Cinema visits five cities and towns in the Republic of Georgia in five weeks. You’ll shoot in remote mountain villages and historic cities throughout the country.
